Hello Grace05 welcome to the forum!!

Yes, I think you need to contact Philippine Embassy in London (consular services)http://philembassy-uk.org/contact.html for the registration of marriage (NSO)as they will require this registration when you amend your passport to your married name in the future.
and yes,you can also register the birth of your child Fil/Brit/Irish/Icelandic or any foreign national parentage with the Philippine Embassy if one parent was still a Filipino citizen at the time of birth of the child.

It's an actual requirement of the Philippine Embassy that you register the marriage with them.... and they'll even charge you for the privelege !

Look on their website, download the relevant form, and take it (and the evidence & vast photocopies) along with you.

No need to book, just turn up.

Hello, Grace ... ! I've merged your two threads into a single entity for the purpose of co-ordinating each of the replies you've received so far. This will, in turn, make it easier for others who may yet wish to respond.

We were quite a long time to inform Phils Embassy, can't remember why, but anyway we got charged a penalty for late notification in addition the the regular fee.

H iGrace, I registered our Filipino marriage here in the UK in the summer of 2009. Its not a legal requirement but just thought it would help with my wifes visa application. It cost 56 pounds.

just go to the ' registering a foreign marriage' on the ukgov.com web site. its easy!

    Good luck Grace

Correct me if I'm wrong, here ... but doesn't the CFO automatically inform the Philippine Embassy whenever a native citizen marries and goes to live overseas?

I understand what you are asking Grace. You want to register your non euro marriage here in the UK.

I have explained once, I have done the same thing myself, you go to the ukgov.com website. Follow the links for registering a foreign marriage.

    T hat's it, simple.

Word of advice, bookmark that site, it will come in handy later when you arrive
