Cheltenham Festival

I used to live in Cheltenham for 3 years. Thats when i realised how big horse racing was! The town is flooded with Irish coming over for the meeting. They were always a great laugh when in the pub after the races. To hear the roar of the first race makes the hair on your neck stand up! and i was not at the course, but in student block half mile away watching! I have been on the thursday before but it is so manic, best to watch elsewhere. it's about the only time i put a bet on. Can't wait till tuesday!!

I had a look at that site, but i got totally confused! I just don't understand betting to be good at it

I'll just stick at fun betting. i might post my picks so you can laugh at my choices

Many years ago I worked for an insurance company based in Barnwood, Gloucester. I was on a 3 day course at the same time as the festival one year. The hotel I was staying at in Barnwood was rammed full of Irish trainers, jockeys and punters...it was a great atmosphere in the hotel bar. Shame I had to attend my course and couldn't sneak off to the festival
