Terry should tell Capello where to stick it following the disgraceful way in which he was unjustly fired from the job a year ago.

It has dawned on Postman Pat that on the odd occasion they are fit Ferdinand and Gerrard lack backbone and leadership qualities.

If I'm not mistaken Capello gave the devalued Captains armband to serial whoremeister Rooney recently.

Can't accuse Rio of putting it about though - he's generally to be found in the sick bay keeping crock Hargreaves company

rooney isnt a captain but when you play a bunch of muppets in a friendly and hes the best choice then you need a better manager

when a few senior players are missing then the team does come up short...in fact there isnt a lot of choice when it comes to a decent captain

Even without "seniors" there is only one natural leader and winner who led us through World Cup qualifying - John Terry - Crapello decided to mess things up

Morally wrong of course but a tad better than Mr Potato Head whose couplings with Grannies and Dirty Northern Slappers got him a season ticket for the STD Clinic

I'm no fan of Chelsea, but I agree that Terry is the best man for the job. I don't agree with the way Capello has told the press before telling Ferdinand, but Terry is a great captain.

He's been punished for his previous crimes, the nation can't hold that against him for ever. Most people have skeletons in their closets, but as footballers are high profile they are always going to end up on the front page of the Scum.

Beckham was public enemy number 1 after France 98, but he was given a second chance when Sven made him Captain.

Give him a break, forget he's a Chelsea player and get behind him as our England Captain

This is the guy that got his team to come from 3-0 down and win the Champions League ..... and an FA Cup? ..... before Benitez destroyed the team ..... All players have 'off' seasons, just check the stats on every player. Freckle hobbit has been well below his form last year, but then last year was way above his average form.

12 months ago he publicly hung Terry out to dry in a similar fashion

Come on JT put the boot in and tell the slippery Wop to stick his armband where the sun don't shine !

Poor old Rio's "very upset" http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9424957.stm

They've just said on Sky that of the 13 matches England have played since Terry was sacked - Sicknote's done 4 but only one of those was a competitive game
