Up to 181,000 migrants 'may have overstayed visas'

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12736759

Up to 181,000 migrants who should have left the UK since December 2008 could still be here, according to UK Border Agency estimates.

i'm not surprised by the number, i would have thought it was even higher..

I saw this in the Mail. Not surprising that when the UKBA does nab illegals it frees those "known to the UKBA" (ie failed so called asylum seekers, overstayers) on "Immigration Bail"

Just to reinforce my point about farcical "immigration bail" here's the latest raid news from the UKBA

Ten people have been arrested following a UK Border Agency raid on a restaurant in Paddington.

Acting on intelligence, officers visited the Al Shishawi on Edgware Road at around 19:00 on the evening of Saturday 12 March, where they checked staff to ensure they had the right to work in the UK.

Ten illegal workers were arrested for a variety of immigration offences - 6 Egyptian men, 3 men from Mauritania, Libya and Kuwait and a woman from Morocco. Nine of the 10 have been detained pending their removal from the UK while the other has been granted immigration bail.

Nothing to worry about, when the owners of the houses they are staying in complete their 2011 Census forms honestly and accurately the authorities will know where they are and can go and nab them
