Well a tankfull of fuel for my car will cost at lot more than that. £140
Maybe time for a change
As for the £30k of fuel for the Tornado to Libya ............................ Don't get me wrong on this but today my wife was told that one of her 'service users' (elderly person clients ----- she is a Carer-----) has had her care cut to only 15 mins care per day from now on due to cuts in funding. This lady lives alone and cannot even stand up on her own. My wife spends at least 1 hour per day looking after her (morning lunch and evening) but gets paid for 15 mins = £1.71.
I know what I think 'but sups to you the individual'
This is not an isolated case.
Sorry rant over.
So sorry Englishman, hope I haven't stopped your thread.
I filled a boat last week at a cost of £910,spoke to a guy who had just put 3500 litres in his boatHe fills it about once a monthWe all complain about spending £80 or £90 on a tankfull of fuel for our car
Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
I have a Clio it has a 1.5 diesel engine. It does 60 mpg, goes like a rocket. Only £30 tax per year. It is an excellent little commuter and does my 60 mile round trip nicely each day. But... where I used to fill it up with £50 every 10 days or so, I now have to fill up with £65. I have tried driving slower, and it does make a difference, but I end up feeling frustrated and just like the type of driver I hate driving behind. Cant win, but I like the care, quite cheap to run, tax and insure.
And I ain't a bloody hairdresser ..... before anyone asks OK!!
If you want your dreams to come true ...... first you have to wake up
The 3500 litres went into a pleasure boatI dont know how he could justify that sort of expenditure but filling and paying didnt phase him one iota,he was happy as larryThere's a thread stopper stronger than mine

Terpe is your car actually a lorry???
I drive a 1.9TDI and costs me around £55 from when the petrol filling indicator comes on and that will last me 2 weeks. I have to say my driving habits have changed a lot, driving slower, braking slower. Though sometimes these habits go out of the window!
I honestly never thought it was possible to fill any car with that much fuel.
Just filed my taxi up-it already was a quarter full and my bill was £85.70
It will be empty by wednesady.
I found the answer.
I fill my car, then leave it parked in my garage, hardly ever need a refill for months !!!!
my last company motor was an AUDI A6 TOURING, got the TDIE ENGINE, did overall average 47mpg but nealry 60 on my daily 60 mile round m/w trip to work, great spec , low co2 only 139 so not bad on company tax. just got an old petrol Espace automatic for my honey when she comes back in a few weeks (she only drives auto an is used to our bus back home) but it does 25mpg in town and just cost me £118 to tax for 6 months. Still for £600 and with her probably doing about 50 miles a week she should be happy. Now what I am going to have next BM5 Touuring or mercedes 220 Touring hmmmmmmmm need to go and drive them. Now if Jaguar bring out what they used to call a shooting brake (estate) version of the XF I would be the 1st customer
Live your life for a reason and don't worry be happy
if you don't know where you are going then any road will do!!
Love this new political catchphrase "Sortie" Almost sounds like a tasty sweet. Good way of sugar-coating murder, I suppose
I can remember my dads big zephyr , I think we may have had one of the above, not sure

Dad also had a Zodiac straight 6. It was white with red leather trim, very similar to the Zephyr.
T he Westminster was an ex police car, it went like a rocket, I was 6 or 7 at the time.
The cornering was a bit flighty if I remember correctly. Many walnuts could of been cracked especially if dad had spent the day drinking. All 8 of us fitted inside as well. Not much call for seat belts in those days.
I remember all of us having to push it out of a ditch on the way home from a day out at Bournemouth, dad had one or a dozen too many sherbets as usual.
Dad wasn't much use on that occasion, he couldn't stand but, ok to drive
Ahh happy days.
Also from that story:
a single cruise missile is about £500,000.
Could've kept a few policemen and nurses in a job there
Yep...unbelievable.
There'll be reasons above our peasant heads no doubt ( OIL ? Prestige ? Influence ? Arms sales ?).
It's still a slap in the face for the unemployed and those waiting for operations etc.
Are we going to waste even more money by interfering in every other upcoming revolt in the other Arab countries, and accept the hoards of refugees ?
According to Camron, we won't be accepting any war refugees from north africa. Much to the complaining and whining from the rest of Europe. Italy especially.......shame
I expect they will find a way in, vermin usually do.
When I fill up the pleasure boat I drive, it normally costs circa 1/2 million USD.
