    Arrests of foreigners double in 3 years as migrant crime soars

    figures show that in 2010 more than 91,234 non-British nationals were arrested over crimes including murder, burglary and sexual offences.

    Only 51,899 foreigners were detained in 2008 – signalling a shocking increase of 76 per cent over three years.

    wot affect would a serious or criminal offence have on a refugee regarding status..?

    If the reports in the gutter press and Daily Mail are to be believed it helps them to speed up the process of being allowed to stay here

    can a refugee be removed from as place of safe abode.. ie uk once its granted..even tho he or she commits crimes..i dont kno how it works for a refugee..

    if you serve one year in prison and your subject to immigration control, the judge can recommend you be deported at the end of your spell in prison, ILR can be revoked in certain circumstances, but applying for citizenship you cannot have committed any serious crimes i think its in the last 3 or 5yrs or you could be refused...
