I have just been granted Biritish citizenship last December 2010. I would like to apply for a visa so my parents could come and visit me here in the UK but i don't know where to begin. I would appreciate any help.

but make sure you apply for a family visit visa as you will have more rights to appeal.

Not a good idea to mention that we want her to come for a visit around time of the birth as it would allow us to spend quality time together. Is that as they may think it's an employment opportunity?

yes, might not be a good idea toks, looking after a baby/child paid or unpaid is work in the eyes of the embassy, and some people have been refused for that reason, thou your reason for her visiting is also valid, i'd be cautious thou..
so i'll be putting that my wife hasn't seen her aunt (who is like a mother to her) for years and because of work committments can only take 1 wk at a time off work, so she wants her aunt to visit her
