I got mine from my local one.

Same as 'calling the banns' (or something like that)....so anyone can object if they see the announcement and you're already married to them.

After 3 weeks you go in and pick up the certificate and hand over some loot.

I'm assuming it's still the same procedure.

Best to go in and ask them.

    You're welcome.

Oh, and IMO you're far too young to be getting married....but can't say I blame you, looking at that picture.

Not many like that in Acklam or Linthorpe.

Drew, you need to call up your local Registry office to book an appointment to see the registar, ask them for as much info as possible and make sure you have all your fiance's details and the place you are to be married with you when you attend

And as stated in previous post there's a 3 week wait before you get your CNI to which is valid for only 3 months.Good luck mate like you I'm getting married to my Pinay GF in 3 weeks time in Mindoro I actually leave on the 27 May and will post some pics of our special day when i return

Yes, I agree as above, the charge is £33 for the CNI. When you get to Phils you need to go directly to the British Embassy and submit all the paperwork, including your fiancee's birth cert and ID so you can get a local CNI, this costs more money, cannot remember exactly the amount in peso, but it takes a day to process, you go back next day to collect.

Thanks very much guys for your much needed information. I have my appointment on the 27/05/11 for the registrars. They give me info on what I need to take with me so I’ll make sure I have it all.

At guk enjoy your wedding day and can’t wait to see the pics of your special day.

With my self I’m due to leave for my 5 week holiday on the 12/07/11 and don’t think I want to come back . So I got to sort out my visa for that as well so I’m looking into that now.
