    Car "production" resumes at Longbridge

I know ScottLigaya commented about the plant on a now closed thread.

Not so sure if it can be described as production as the car is bolted together from a kit with apparently just the engine and electrics emanating from Longbridge. Even that sounds a bit far fetched as I'd suspect the engine only involves a casting with all the components being brought in, likewise since when did any car manufacturer make their own electrics - Lucas, Bosch etc do that.

2 other observations - we used to export kits for assembly around the world and the true home of the MG is Abingdon Oxon not Longbridge

Still good news for the jobs created and secured in Britain

You'll find all cars are built like that these days... just look at airplane manufacturers as well, parts come from all over the world.

    MG6 looks

Yup 3000 this year is hardly volume and yes the brand is completely diminished from what it was years back, I had a teal blue MGC and an Old English White BGT a long time back, proper cars. albeit the C had a leyland truck engine lol
