    Marriage Contract- Advise needed please.

Hi everyone, I just wondered if you could tell me how long it takes for NSO Manila to process the Marriage contract?

This was sent on the 25 February by LBC to Manila NSO from NSO Cagayan De Oro. My wife keeps going back to NSO in CDO to get copies for the spouse visa and change of passport, but keep saying come back in 2 weeks, next time the 12 May!

To me something is not quite right. We have our copy and the Registrars Office have also got a copy, but not NSO Manila.

Has anyone got any advise to fix this? Any idea's would be greatly appreciated as my wife is getting sick with worry. Thanks for your time reading this.

    Steve,
The NSO have a website http://nso.citizenservices.com.ph/ and it has a live online chat.
I used it when me and Lyn were gathering our Docs and i must say it was a great help with very friendly informative staff..
Give it a go and explain what has been going on.
Have some of your wifes details to hand.
    Hope it is a help

Well that didn't go well, they said my wife has to visit the NSO East Avenue, Main office, Quezon City. There's me trying to save money and now I'm having to pay for other people's ups!!! It was sent by LBC to NSO Manila, recorded delivery. What can go wrong???

There must be another way. I hope.....

I applied on a piecemeal basis and it took me only three weeks to get my NSO Marriage Certificate...basically, your wife needs to get an endorsement from her local provincial statistics officer(PSO) they will give endorsement to be sent to the NSO...
check this link, its the exact process i have undergone

Thank you so much for your help! I could kiss you now Now there is something we can do, felt like we have been stuck not being to do anything for 2 months.

Just means more time to wait before applying visa as she wants to change passport also. Don't think i will be applying soon.

    Thanks again for your help!

Our pleasure to help ...yes its a long and winding journey, ...keep the faith!!
with regards to change passport, was it name changes / renewal? if she wish to change her surname into yours she must provide marriage contract (NSO) and certificate of attendance from the CFO(because shes married to non filipino citizen/foreigner)

Yeah we are getting there................ very slowly!

We knew it wasn't going to be easy but it's frustrating that we are getting held up on something that we thought was straightforward.

It looks like it is going to be a while before applying

She wants to renew her passport as it is an old version and I'm sure it only lasted 5 years and it was from 2006. I think that is what she said. Also the name changes also. So could she do the CFO at any time now then? Need to do more research
