When I was 19 I used to work on Parliament Street in Harrogate, and walked there from the far end of Knaresborough (Farfield Ave), and back every day...no problem.

Driving it now makes me tired.

I worked at 'Tilcon' Construction offices.

There were about 10 blokes and 100 girls.

I paid the wages. Happy days.

To me, Bettys Tea Room was where pensioners went. I'm still too young for the place.

Funny how music comes into your head when you're casting your mind back.
