Have you ever done something like this or something similar where you realised your error too late?... several times, my friend ... and not ONLY with phone numbers, either! Why, just last week, I gave Myrna a note of my ATM pin number so's she could check the balance outstanding on my current account whilst I was otherwise engaged in the house.
You've guessed!Despite being so accustomed to using the bank card myself, it turned out one of the digits I'd given her was incorrect ... and the machine TWICE rejected my card!
If she'd tried it a third time, the card would've been "swallowed up" by the machine!
