Went to the hospital for Pia's scan today. While we were there we got joking with and talking to a nice couple that were also waiting for their scan. They had a young son (looked like Raffy) that on enquiring turned out to be 3 days younger than Marikit. They had moved to MK from Luton 8 months earlier - us from Leeds, 2 weeks earlier.
The chap asked me my daughter's name and when I told him, he said it was a nice name and asked where it was from. At this point his wife was called to the reception counter. When I told him it was a Filipino name he was surprised and stated that his wife was pinay. That surprised me as i'd never guessed that.
At this point Pia was called to go in for her scan. We hurredly agreed to stay in touch and I gave them my number before going into the Ultrasound suite.
But believe it or not I suddenly could not recal my number and gave them the wrong one.
Have you ever done something like this or something similar where you realised your error too late?

Despite being so accustomed to using the bank card myself, it turned out one of the digits I'd given her was incorrect ... and the machine TWICE rejected my card! 
If she'd tried it a third time, the card would've been "swallowed up" by the machine!
I'm sure I must have done that at some time
