here's the requirements in full..might be useful for others to see ....but they raise a few questions ! eg: how can I book a flight BEFORE the application as I dont know if it will be approved or what the real convenient dates would be ....
"Your dependents who are holders of Philippine passports have to apply for a petition visa.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VISA APPLICANTS
1) Personal appearance;
2) Passport with no less than 3 months validity over the visa expiration;
3) Accomplished application form with one recent picture (2X2) with white background;
4) Original and a photocopy of all documents required for each applicant.
VISA FOR FAMILY REUNION
SPOUSE
1. Letter of invitation.
2. Birth certificate of the petitioned issued by the Civil Registrar General (NSO) authenticated by Malacaņang and DFA.
3. Marriage Contract, registered with the Embassy of the UK in Manila;
4. Flight booking;
5. Copy of your "Attestazione di soggiorno permanente per i cittadini dell'Unione Europea"
MINOR CHILDREN (17 yrs. old and below)
1. Letter of invitation
2. Birth certificate of the petitioned issued by the Civil Registrar General (NSO) authenticated by Malacaņang and DFA.
3. Marriage Contract of parents issued by the Civil Registrar General (NSO)authenticated by Malacaņang and DFA, if applicable.
4. Affidavit of Consent from the father, if applicable;
5. Flight booking
The visa fees are waived"
