Just wondering when you applied for your passport and has it arrived? My wife applied for hers back in April, we paid extra for express processing but I believe the printing machine broke and there is a huge backlog. I was hoping to apply for her Visiting Family Visa at the end of June but this is looking unlikely now.

I apologize for the late reply, I got my passport last June 25. I applied last April, it took me 2 months to get it because of the queue. I actually have my old passport and applied for a new one and use my hubby's last name. Yes backlogs in DFA is a big mess & hassle. You can tell your wife to call DFA hotline or much better she could go there and double check what happened to her passport.
