"On The Radio"
This is how it works
It feels a little worse
Than when we drove our hearse
Right through that screaming crowd
While laughing up a storm
Until we were just bone
Until it got so warm
That none of us could sleep
And all the styrofoam
Began to melt away
We tried to find some worms
To aid in the decay
But none of them were home
Inside their catacomb
A million ancient bees
Began to sting our knees
While we were on our knees
Praying that disease
Would leave the ones we love
And never come again
On the radio
We heard November Rain
That solo's really long
But it's a pretty song
We listened to it twice
'Cause the DJ was asleep
This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath
No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again
And on the radio
You hear November Rain
That solo's awful long
But it's a good refrain
You listen to it twice
'Cause the DJ is asleep
On the radio
(oh oh oh)
On the radio
On the radio - uh oh
On the radio - uh oh
On the radio - uh oh
On the radio

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
Very moving.
Made me think of my lovely fiancee from 20+ years ago. RIP Debbie.

Very nice Moy.
I love those Filipino bands, especially when I'm relaxing with a few beers at a live show.
That lead singer looks sooo much like my next wife.![]()
The two lead singers are sisters Juliet Sonot and Mercy Sunot ( from Cagayan de Oro ). In the photo, Juliet is singing with me at Zirkoh, Greenhills, San Juan last yearThey have been with the group since they started originally as AG's Soundtrippers ( the letters A and G being the manager's initials, Abenoja-Galindo ). They changed to Aegis in 1998. The literary meaning of Aegis is " shield " or " protection ", because it expresses what they want to share to their listeners.
Stella Maries Galindo Pabico ( keyboard ) is from Misamis Occidental. Vilma Goloviogo ( drums ) is from Manila. Bass guitarist Rowena " Weng " Pinpin Adriano is a Pampagueno. The only male member ( lucky for him) is Rey Abenoja ( lead guitar ) is from Southern Leyte.
The group have travelled widely, but never been to UK. One day I hope they will make it - I'm working on it ! Mabuhay ang tugtuging Pinoy .... rakrakan na![]()
Hey....great pic Doc...you lucky guy.![]()
I have heard so many great filipina/filipino singers and bands in my travels from Dubai to Shanghai and Suzhou to Bangkok. One of my favourite "cover" bands was the house band at Dusk till Dawn in Wan Chai Hong Kong, altogether there were seven with three mainly alternating singers two male and one female. I once found out what they were paid and often thought how welll they would do here on the pub/club scene but off course then there is the visa,.... would love to have them at my 50th next summer
