looking for more info on how the visa appeal process works

hi some yous might know already that my wifes visa was refused . with the help of my soliciter here in scotland we have appealed against the decission .my soliciter appealed it here in the uk and they said that they will send all the new info to manila for them to look over there decission but they also stated on the letter that just to get a answer on the appeal it might take 19 weeks is this the way it happens as i thought maybe 4 weeks at the most before we heard back to see if our appeal was successful. its just driving me crazy .

Please also be informed that appeals do take a really long time. Think in months not in days or weeks. For complex appeals think years.

Did you already request reconsideration?

Did you already make any new application that negates the refusals ?
