well I thought we would apply for a British passport for the misses, filled in the forms, went for an ID interview last Saturday, and
her British passport arrived this morning,,, now if they can print and deliver a passport in a few days
why can't they process most visa's in a few days

... presumably it's all down to the degree of thoroughness with which background checks are made where visa applications are concerned. Anyway, glad your missus was able to obtain her British Passport so quickly.
