Hi I'm new... :) Thought I'd introduce myself...

Hi! My name is Emmeline and I'm moving to UK soon in August this year. I will be moving by myself so it would be great to meet new people before I move. I'm originally from Cebu City.

I'm going to uk on a spouse visa, my husband is british and we got married here in the phils march 2011. Our concern is that, do i need to have our marriage certificate red ribbon stamped when we register our marriage? It's original from nso but without red ribbon..is that ok? And do i need to have my diplomas and transcript of record red ribbon stamped too for employment or if ever i want to study in the uk? I need ur help! Please reply asap. Thank you so much!!!

Hi! Thank you. I will give you and your wife a call when I get there. I will be there early August. It's good to make new friends in a new country. Looking forward to meet you and your wife.

I'm from Cebu City in the Visayas region. I gather you have been to your wife's hometown? How do you like the Philippines?

    Congratulations!

Yes. Philippines is a great place! I was just back home last December and how I miss the place. How did you find the temperature especially coming from a very cold climate?

Hi Emmeline, welcome to the forum. I hope all goes well with your move to the UK.....although I really can't understand why you would want to leave the peace and tranquility of NZ

hehe I guess it's such a big Kiwi culture that they go to UK for their OE (Overseas Experience). I've always wanted to travel and find out how I will be on my own. This will be my first time away from my family as you may know of the strong Filipino family oriented culture. It's a bit scary for me, but I guess it's the right time as I'm not getting any younger. Most of my colleagues have done their OE already so I'm checking out what the buzz is all about before I reach the age when I am no longer eligible on the Youth Mobility visa.
