Runkeeper has been messing around yesterday it didn't capture my whole activities

I've done 32 mi- yesterday - we went to Arne and had a picnic - we may go for a late ride again later today when temperature is cooler. Last night I crashed in bed after shower and fall asleep like a baby.

It was sooo warm yesterday- beautiful sunny day- very unusual as far as I remember it doesn't get hot here more than 25C

You may remember I met my honey competing in a mountain marathon and Hong Kong, we also competed in dragon boat racing anmd adventure racing.. ah those were the days, now sevrel years later we have two little ones 3 1/2 and 21 months, my honey plays tennis, we still run but less distance and severity of terrain, now I do push ups (lying on back lifting the littlle ones) arm curls one holding on to each forearm, leg lifts, one on each leg bouncing, "horse" rides in the sitting rooms, and anything else invloving flying then around LOL. I work away mon to thurs so can usually get out for a run or use the hotel gym/swim but still feel unfit 9cannot help comparing back to glory days of being very fit LOL). When our kids are a bit older it will be hill walking/trail runing, body boarding/surfing, cycling and anything else I can do to keep them off those damn machines hehehehehehe

forgot to say .. keep at everyone, feeling fit is a great feeling.. the personal goal worked well for me when coming back from an injury which stopped me walking never mind running for 3 or 4 months back in Hong Kong, We lived on Lantau Island at that time just by a ferry pier and one day as came round the headland i noticed a sitting out area (pagoda shaped) on top of a long rising ridge not so far from our place and decided I was going walk up there as my 1st effort in getting back into training. I got my pedometer(no smart phone then) and set off next morning, took over 50 minutes to do just the 4km but I decieded there and then that I would get that down to under 25. Went out either every morning at 6am or evening around 8pm for just a month or so and just watched the time come down. 3 months later it was just the 1st marker on my 20km run around the villages and over the peaks. The key as others have said is to get started and then keep challenging yourself.

heh there Les, you still on the bike? have you been able to get over your tendon soreness and get out running. I ran into work this morning from my hotel along a tow path to Ilkeston about 9km, feeling it now though and need to get my FD to drop me back in his car,... do not fancy the jog/walk/crawl back LOL

    Well done Les.

At least you're running around the posh parts, so you won't get mugged.

I have just walked to the library and back. Phew !

From later this week I will be training people to canvas again, which will involve many miles of walking each day....hopefully I can still do it.

les make sure you got to a proper running shop for trainers,

they will watch you run, and recommend the right trainers for you, a bit more expensive but saved me a lot of knee problems

Well Les, I had a good look in the mirror this morning (yes, plucked up courage ), and I didn't like what I saw.
Totally out of condition, poor muscle tone.

What is annoying is that for my age, theoretically I'm in very good health, and with only a small amount of toning up I'd look little different to when I was say 25.

Not many people can say that.

So, time to get a grip !!!
