Another Bad Story

Just in the News today on GMA T.V. Philippines


Just informed by contacts in the Philippines that a story emerged today on GMA that an American who visited a girl in Cebu, met her at a hotel, while he fell asleep she removed his holiday money totalling USD4000.00 and he has no means of getting home.

He has contacted U.S. Embassy to try and be re-patriated home, but strange thing is why did he not have a return ticket, seems strange, but that is the story, just goes to show it can happen to the best of us.

This comes out of course not knowing the person you are going out to see.
Internet relationships are frought with danger as we all know, the world of text, e mail and chat, brings its own set of problems.

Hope he gets home.

That'll teach him to go and visit a prostitute with $4000 in his pocket. Bet he wouldn't do it in America, so why go and do it here?

I imagine she took his passport, rendering his return ticket useless. There's a valuable market for stolen US passports in the Philippines.
