    visa success

After 2 years apart, my wife has now successfully been granted a visa for her son.

When we applied for the visa for my wife 2 years ago, due to financial constraints, we decided to wait and apply for her son when we had the money. Again because of unforeseen setbacks, it took longer than we had hoped.

Now that we were ready again, my wife returned to the Philippines and submitted the application last Friday 17th June. We were surprised to receive an email less than a week later to say the application had been processed, then after waiting a few days for the courier, the visa arrived today.

You and your good lady are to be applauded for your patience, Rusty! I doubt if there are many who'd have been willing to wait that long in similar circumstances. Congratulations & well done, both of you!!

rusty, i'm sure you planned his visa app well and knew the possible problems , 2yrs apart is a pretty long time

    but

shows it can be done quickly and easily first time

Yes joe, we were a little worried that the longer we left the application the potential issue of sole responsibility could be a problem.

We submitted 3 letters in the application, one form my wife (sponsor), myself (co-sponsor) and my wife's mother who had been looking after her son while she was away. Each letter explained the situation giving reasons, backed with evidence, as to why it took longer to apply than we had planned.
