I hope it worked
I did a microlight lesson about 20 years ago, it was a great experience. Much better than flying a Cessna because you get a real feeling of being outside. They're pretty safe too, if the engine runs out of fuel or stops, you just glide back down to terra firma.
I've got another 6 and a bit years till I'm 50 and have done a lot of the things I wanted to do before I was 50. I've always believed in doing things instead of just dreaming about them, the only excuse that counts is lack of money. I don't want to be on my death bed thinking to myself, I wish I had done that or done this.
In my earlier years a lot of my goals centred around cars and travel, I've done cars to death now and have owned a couple of full blown Italian supercars, I'm not really bothered about that anymore. Travel is my main obsession and some of the more unusual things I want to do are along the following lines:
Travelling the entire length of Eurasia overland
Travelling the Pan Pacific Highway from Tierra Del Fuego to Alaska
Visiting some of the 10 tallest buildings in the world (including, the Burj Tower, Taipai 101, Petronas Tower....etc) Fortunately I did the WTC in 1993
The only continent I have never visited and have absolutely no desire to visit is Africa.
My ultimate goal is to have set foot in at least 100 different countries by the time I'm 65.
