Post I've made mistakes, admits Cole

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole tells BBC Sport he wishes people would judge him on his football, not media reports on his private life.

The same goes for all the footballers or any other celebrity who has their private life splashed all over the media and gutter press. I really am not interested what they do in their private lives, and I find it really pathetic that the majority of the British public have nothing better to do with their lives than read celebrity gossip and tittle tattle.

you cant have it both ways, these publicity seeking sell their souls to gossip mags and complain when they get caught being naughty

what really me off is the sponsors, i couldn't give a pooh about any celeb, i'm not going to buy a product just because its endorsed by a 'celeb' infact i would avoid buying it..

    I couldnt agree more
the sports shoe manufacturers really pee me off. My son gets through a new pair of trainers every 4 - 6 weeks. He cant have cheapie ones, they have to be £35-£40 Nike ones, the same as the ones Ronaldo has or so and so has...etc. The boring Nike or Adidas ones for £20 are just fine, but no one wants them because a celeb doesnt wear them
