I am afraid to say (ok ladies do not flame me you know it is true) that many Filipinas love gossip!!! so I hope your young lady is one of the minority. To be fair to our wives they have often been the subject of such gossip being married to the foriegner as it were and have learned 1st hand the effects such gossip can cause so in the main they will now temper their comments about others.
As I have family responsibilities and wish to continue working for a bit I refrain daily from telling my bosses and some colleagues what I feel/think about certain things... BUT when I decide to give up working I am sure I may revert to my more direct Scotttish upbringing!!!!
