    homesick

sometimes its quite difficult to describe about feeling..in matter of love, only those involved can understand n i believed we also seek the best in our relationship, even though everybody has their own version

Quite the contrary about feelings towards our homes and specially our loved ones. I can assure you that you are amongst people here on the forum who understand completely how you feel every day that you are away from home and family. We understand.

thank you for cheering up its just i felt so down It's hard to be homesick because you're caught between two things you want — to have fun with your friends and to be back home where you feel safe. It's also hard because you might feel funny leaving a party or having to call your mom or dadWhen you're used to having certain people and things around you, it can be scary when they're gone
and when times like this i just think that Love is the beginning of all the joy which nature has in store for us.

    Hi there Moy,
even the busiest, most connected, and "westernised" Filipinas miss home, same went for me when I was living in Singapore and Hong Kong, yes they are great cities and fun to be in but I still missed some aspects of the UK. I Used to fly over every two months for board meetings, pick up a hire car at Heathrow at 6am and stop after getting round Birmigham for breakfast at Tamworth services little chef for a full english brekkie ... yummy , you just cannot get pork or beef sausages or proper bacon (without massive prices in specialist shops)..

cheer up and take care... go and make a filipino dish lol

I don't know. I rarely talk on the phone with my family. They are inept at skype currently and that's a bugger. So i email like crazy. But hey, in the end, and I've seen it happen, even if I'm here 20 years, I'll always be a foreigner to the English

    hello gparry2007

Family bond is so strong that no matter where Filipinos at keep thinking about how they're family doing. It feel like they can't be happy without they're family beside them. For me family is so important that they cannot enjoy the country cause i keep on thinking bout there family left home. The life is the Philippines is pretty much same with other country it only differ when it comes to family things cause no matter whats they gonna stick together.

I am suddenly feeling lonely now,I've been living abroad away from my friends and family for only a year now and never felt the need to go find friends. I have managed to turn into a completely lonely person which I am still not able to stop wondering how I brought this on myself. I have become incredibly used to my loneliness, I am depended on it and yet I find myself surprised and disturbed by it every single day.
I guess, I am still in the verge of adjusting myself to the environment that I am not familiar with. England is a beautiful country, so much to see but it added loneliness in me....Huuh, can't express the right words to say & surely you've gone to the same fate when you are abroad.

Here in Aberdeen for a month now and I must admit really missed my family in PH. Going here is a tough decision and required me to sacrifice things in my life to be with the man I love. Never been far from my family this long. Really missed them but have to stay with my future husband and hoping for us to have a wonderful and meaningful life together.

Always believe that : Everything happens for a reason...

Post how you like, it is not up to me how or what you post. Smilies are an extension of our text so if used in the wrong context they can look out of place, thats what I was getting at.

I know how it feels like moy. I only arrive here in the uk last 2008. Been to the Philippines for 3 times since I arrive here. I settled right away but on my day-offs & my hubby is at work. I feel homesick. The feeling is so hard to explain. I have filipinos from work, goes shopping and cook in our free time but it seems like temporary. So I just thought, I am still coping. I am thankful with the technology where internet is so useful where I can keep in touch with my family through Facebook, Yahoo & Skype. But you know what, there's still this indescribable feeling. I phoned them & that made me so happy & uplift my spirit to go to work & carry on with my daily life in the UK. Talking/ visiting to my filipino friends in England made me smile, watching Filipino program & online update regards to the Philippines made me feel like I'm at home but still everything seems to be different. I am HOME but it seems to me that I am not HOME. Same feeling if we are in the Philippines, my husband miss his english tea too I even had a hardtime during my first trimester coz I really crave for fruits and foods in which I cannot find it here Cooking some Pinoy foods taste different. It's hard to be pregnant & craving for our own food.I am happy that I am a member of this helpful, useful and friendly site in which it helps me a lot where I can learn a lot of inputs....You are just normal moy but talking to friends helps a lot & u just did. Keep smiling
