The BBC's impartiality and standards have drastically declined over the last 20 years or so. Patten needs to wield the axe and get shot of the Trough Feeders, Lefties, Diversity/Equality Directors and Politically Correct - all of whom would find it very hard to obtain employment in the real world (ie private sector). This should be followed by a spending review focusing on personalities and presenters obscene salaries. The BBC (and ITV etc) need to realise that it doesn't have to be held to ransom by these people as the majority wouldn't be able to get a job outside of the UK Broadcasting Industry.
