    about savings in bank statement

    hi everyone

i would like to ask regarding of the savings put in the bank for visa application.

Is the ECO really verified the savings, or ask the bank the the amount of money that you have put the bank provided that you submit them the latest bank statement?

    hope to hear from you..thanks

    Hi Jeanelovesdeano
I think it would depend on the bank statements. If they show regular savings over a decent period of time,They prefer 6 months, but I have seen as little as 3 months being accepted, that accounts for the savings, I doubt very much they would check with the bank. They basicly look at what goes in, and what goes out, so there has to be money left over, to have savings. If they see an amount that is far bigger then what is left over, they probably will not be satisfied. The important thing is, to be able to show where the money came from.

yes they do, ...they got a new added system now which you can find in ukba website ''bank verification system'' if they find any doubt with the bank statements they can verify and check it straight away.

This was probably because with the advent of Photoshop etc, people were busy printing their own fake bank statements

thank you for the response.i would like to ask let say, aside from the savings coming from my husband's salary, he will put an additional 1K pounds this week to his savings account and he will state in the cover letter that the money he put there was the monetary gift from close friends and family for our wedding and that money will use for my visa application. That means the money will be reflected in his bank savings account statement when we are going to submit it.
my question is , will this be a problem if by the time we will be going to apply for visa, the money left in his savings account will no longer be the same amount stated in the bank statement submitted because he will be going to transfer the money to my bank account after getting the print out of the last/ latest bank savings account statement .

hope to hear from you, thank u

If I were you, wait until your hubby stablished a healthy or good bank statement. that's what we did, we waited until my hubby put more money in the bank and no overdraft with in that 6 months bank statement. Don't give the ECO any reason to turn down your application.
I know you both want to be together so bad ( we've been there ) but u have to be patient, make sure he got good bank statement at least 6 months. Guys correct me if im wrong!
Do your research here as well, this site is very useful... Sorry boss keith was only able to donate 10 maybe hopefully in the future give more lol
i tried to add u on facebook but i cant find u using your yahoo ID...

My case isn't recent. But when my bro applied for a UK visa from the UK Embassy in Manila in late 2001 or early 2002 (after 9/11), the Embassy did phone his bank to verify his account. I know because I had worked for that bank, so my friends there told me about the embassy's phone call.

I think I'd give that bank a miss.

If he's employed (full-time or part time), then he'll have a P60 at the end of each tax year..... unless it's undeclared income.

The P60 represents what he's paid in tax, and what his employer are paying in National Insurance contributions.

If he's working on a "cash in hand" basis, just be very, very careful, and be aware of the potential consequences.

Also, £440 income per month is very low. I'm assuming that he lives at the family home, so has no/little outgoings ?

If so, make sure u read the threads about (suitable) accomodation and confirmation of support/change of tenancy by either the householder or landlord.

    Hiya!

Based on my experience we sent VFS Agency Makati all requirements that they needed. I think they will just want to know that your husband can provided for you while you are in the UK without help from Public Fund. But since youre married if luckily granted a visa that will be valid for 2 years and you are already allowed to get a job to pay for the bills.

We actually give them a copy of bank statement of my BF and stated that he just purchased a house for us to stay in that means the amount of money on the money less the money for the house. And we didnt have any problem regarding our visa and luckily I'm in Uk now with him.

From the forums that I've read as long as your sponsor have a job to pay for monthly bills and expenses that is OK. So I suggest that just provided them all the requirements and make sure that you answer their question honestly. There shouldn't be a problem after that. Got my visa after 25 days ....

    Hope this help.

Sounds like this is going to be an uphill struggle, if the information provided so far is correct.

His employers have to pay National Insurance by law.
Also your partner has to pay income taxes and his NI contribution too.

The government here will have records of such payments (or non-payments).

Maybe best to give your partner details of this forum, so he can seek some advice?

    Victoria,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but on the info you've so far provided, you've little or no chance of a fiance visa.

Essentially, your partner is unemployed and has no savings.
Additionally, it seems, he does not have his own accomodation,(is in rental accomodation), and relies on his sister to pay the rent.

    1. He has to find "recognised" employment, where he receives a pay slip, and NI contributions are deducted.
    2. He needs to build up some savings .... ideally in the region of £1500-£2000.
    3. (after the first 2) he needs a letter from the landlord agreeing that an additional person can live in the accomodation.

I fear you've a long way to go

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I judge from what you have written that you chances will be very slim, your fiance is simply not earning enough money to support you and then get married, apply for FLR, spouse visa etc. The UK IS AN EXPENSIVE place to live and the streets are not paved with gold. I can only re-iterate what others have said. Your partner needs to get a permanent legal job and pay proper contributions to our tax and national insurance authorites and he needs some good savings.

personally I think he has been unfair to you in getting engaged and giving you hope without him studying the requirements and basically being more responsible.

    sorry if this offends

Someone's either being economical with the truth, or just doesn't understand.
If you work (officially) in the UK, then at the end of the tax year, you get a P60.
Granted, you may not earn enough to pay tax.... but you still get a P60.

He's therefore being paid "under the counter", ie cash-in-hand.
Which is basically illegal ...... as it's defrauding the tax man (HM Customs & Revenue).
... and why his employer has given him a letter stating this is beyond me. He's basically declaring his guilt, and inviting a visit from HM Customs & Revenue.

... what does he do for £60 per week ..... a newspaper round ???

.... so, the same problem as I stated before arises... he's essentially UNEMPLOYED.
You are not going to get a fiance visa in this scenario.

BTW ... why isn't he claiming Job Seekers Allowance, or other DHSS benefits, especially as his job is "undeclared", and he's unemployed ?

    Please check this link :
    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/working/intro/employed.htm#2
You can earn up to £139 a week (2011-12) before you pay any National Insurance contributions. This is known as the 'primary threshold'.

However, as long as you earn more than £102 a week (2011-12) you can still build up your entitlement to a State Pension and certain other benefits. This is known as the 'lower earnings limit'.

...Its a bit complicated to justify how your fiance can support you without recourse to public funds..and also, in your list of documents you must show ''evidence of provisional bookings'' if your planning to marry here in the uk.

he said he will going to ask his boss now if he pays P60 for him

It's not a case of paying P60, it's a case of LEGALLY employing him.

But the scenario is still the same .... his earnings are too low, and he's got no savings.
So how is he going to support you in the UK ?

... btw... you need 6mnths' bank statements.... so that takes you to Jan 2012 at the very, very least.

My fiance is a asthmatic that's why he can't work that much can you give me idea of what to do? please Bluebirdjones God bless you.

With all due respect guys, I think this is all pretty complicated stuff for someone from a different culture/tax system to absorb.

Victoria, if a man earns even £300 a week in this country, it's quite a low wage.

Does your partner not use the internet ?

I recommend that you introduce him to this site.

he does, actually he's the one who send this site to me. I don't know with him, it feels like i'm just the only one who's working for my visa here all he does is to wait for me to tell him what papers do we need and he send it to me. he's the one who want's me to be there with him. i asked him before why he still lives with his mum and sister he shud be independent..he just answered me that he said that he doesn't know that he will be meeting someone like me and he will going to get married. he thought that he will be just single for the rest of his life. i just told him awhile that i mite not be there this year because our/my requirements are not yet complete..that he needs to have a better job to have a much bigger salary.. he just get mad..and he said no matter what i will be there this year. i don't know what he will going to do. he's only working as a cleaner in their village hall and he works there for about 2 hours and he is also working as a newspapers delivery man every morning.
