Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
Sunday night is karaoke night.
I love Helen Reddy and I love this song. It's in my personal songbook.
Hope you enjoy
Helen Reddy - I Can't Say Goodbye To You
The song that for me will always be the most special as far as the Philippines is concerned, is 'Paradise' by Phil Collins.
It was very popular at the time of my first visit to the Phils, and was playing everywhere when my ex-wife and I first met.
I also found the words meaningful and thought-provoking, considering the poverty that was everywhere to be seen in Manila and the provinces.
This was the song that played on the first night we met, and this was the first song we first sang together on that first night and at our UK wedding party and tonight too. It has always had a special meaning for us both.
The lyrics are from a moment in time and still give me goosebumps till now.
