An 80-yr-old "preening pensioner" from Stockport has received a suspended jail sentence - and placed on the Sex Offenders' Register - after shocked neighbours reported him for "alarming the lieges" by pruning his roses in the nude.

"Things came to a 'climax' when he was spotted washing his car and cleaning his gutters while inappropriately undressed for such activities" according to a spokesman from Greater Manchester Police.

That's the second time the "long arm of the law" has caught up with an elderly gent ...
