So i meet and fall in love and we want to marry...
Cant she just get a general visa.....i could deposit say 5000$ in her account....come to uk and we marry and then apply for her to stay..........or is that a bit too simple ??????

Yes, as Dedworth says, too simple and not enough dosh for the UK coffers.
Basically, you (well your spouse/partner/fiancee) needs a settlement route visa.
Can't imagine why you couldn't find the answer anywhere else. It's basic.
Have you actually looked at the UKBA website?
Have you actually met?
Have you formulated any kind of plan?
Better to think about a step by step sensible approach. Plenty of members here will help you every step of the way with great experienced and detailed advice.
First up, think seriously about your intended visit and what you want to achieve. Think about how you can document your steps to that point (you will need these as evidence for the UKBA if you decide to take up a settlement route)
Now you will be in a much better position to get answers to any questions you may have.
Whatever you decide to do and however you decide to achieve that objective, I wish you the best of luck.
IMHO without proper research and accurate knowledge it's likely to become an expensive, frustrating and uphill battle.

well after watching the uk border force tv programme.. u might well get lucky...its worth a try if cash is no problem

Jon coming from a training background I always say The silly question is the one you don't ask...I remember asking my GF to come to Kuala Lumpur when I first met and thought she could just turn up!
Immigration in Manila didn't let her out so that night I faxed a pile of docs to the airlines fax and she rebooked the next days flight. Wasn't asked for anything! Came through no probes.
Came back to UK and started looking into this and was overwhelmed with what was needed.

its a fiance visa so u can marry here in the uk.
