In Pinas, I love our chinese & indian food in Cebu, Maharaja. My husband said, its the water & the meat that makes the flavour or taste come out different. Well, he got the point. I even cooked humba but nothing taste yummy in our pinoy humba way back home. I guess it's the meat. Even the bacon here, I don't like the taste. But we have to deal with it lols.
