You don't need an island Graham, just stay at The Citadel on P.Bougos St in Makati

It is truly dreadful there, approx 15 girlie bars in the street, lots of street girls aggresively touting their services, pimps and touts offering girls or viagra if you take a walk outside to visit the 7-11 or have a smoke. By far the worst are the ladyboys though, they will not take NO for an answer even if you have your g/f on your arm. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude in anyway, I've seen and done a lot in my time, I don't take the moral high ground on these issues, each to their own. I can also speak lots of choice Anglo-Saxon words, but it is all a bit too much, even for me.

The Adelphi in Liverpool is worse.....it's the only hotel I've stayed in where room service knock on your door at 11pm and ask if you have a girl in there with you? If you say no, they offer to find you one
