......because it's worth it!
......because it's worth it!
If you can't say something nice. SHUT UP!. Simple.
I'm sorry I dont see a funny element to that at all
My divorce proceedings cost my £20,000 what a waste of money..
I really do not understand why the vast majority of Filipinos don't campaign to introduce divorce onto the statute books. The present situation, where in so many cases divorce proceedings are euphemistically called 'annulment' is preposterous, as divorce is in theory not allowed ( Vatican City is the only other country worldwide where divorce is not allowed).
If divorce was called what it is, then there is also no reason why it cannot be made quick, very simple and very cheap, where the parties affected could obtain an order without any intervention by lawyers, as happens in UK, Spain and I dare says in many other countries too. Lawyers are seldom needed. The only necessity is a process to protect the innocent and the children.
Come on 80 million + Filipinos, get the law changed and stop the legal profession screwing citizens.
Marriage is grand, but divorce is about a hundred grand
I didn't find it funny either.
The financial aspects are mostly 'lifetime impacting'. Not just single costs .
It's not just a financial issue either, there's often a huge emotional cost that can take years to come to terms with for all involved, not least any children who become embroiled in it.
If there was some 'punch line' I may have understood better.
I couldn't agree more. It's no laughing matter when you have been through your own parents divorcing and the complications of step parents/siblings, perceived favoritism, blaming yourself for it, wishing your mum and dad were still mariied...etc, and then you put your own kids through it when you grow up and get married
I estimate 150 grand in my case....not to mention a list of negatives as long as my arm.
Maybe women see these things in a different light.
I used to think about the financial consequences, but that's not important anymore, it's only money. My only consideration now is my children and making sure they don't have any upset or bitterness about it, and see the postive sides...ie, 2 loving homes (my ex wife is a great mum to my kids), twice as many treats, twice as many toys, birthday and Christmas presents...etc
I have to say, we are in total agreement there.
On the money side, it might have made my life a little more comfortable in retirement though...since I'd have had a house with no mortgage.
My divorce nearly finished me (quite literally), and it was not a laughing matter. I lost all my friends, some family and my house. It has left me now with no chance of ever owning a property here in the Uk.... yeah, a real laugh !
Luckily, I moved in with my parents and have been with them again for nearly 4 years. But even though we live in the same house I have my independance and it has brought us closer again after years living away. Now, my life is based in Phils with my wonderful Filipina wife, her sons and our growing baby. We have a small house in Phils and at last I am happy again (apart from being too far away right now) The future is not here for me now, that changed when I met my now wife.
Divorce can break your soul if you let it. Trusting and living again after divorce takes time.
If you want your dreams to come true ...... first you have to wake up
I'd stick to the day job if I were you .....humour obviously isn't your strong point.
No man is an island, but Barry is
Divorce is really grand...my hubby spent a lot of it too. Stressful & all emotional aspects involve...but it's worth it as u get rid of the person whom u think who loves u & not your £. Different stories & experiences...& he's glad he did it.
Sometimes there are jokes that has no impact to different listeners & mine is not the one. Sorry folks. It's just likewise, I don't get the jokes that I get from my collegue at work. Different views & different impact especially translating from our own dialect to english cheers everyone!

Divorce is in most cases a horrible experience.
It is usually the children who suffer most.
The more responsible amongst us try our best to keep their suffering to a minimum.
Perhaps we should ask our kids what they think about it.
There are too many selfish and stupid 'adults' screwing up the lives of the children they profess to love so much.
Hence so many problems in society today.
no point of marrying when we know the ending will be divorce would rather be live in is a solution rather than geting married
a famous quote says about divorce
"Divorce is the human tragedy that reduce everything to cash"
I prefer my children not to be born out of wedlock, and to at least honour their birth with two loving parents and my surname.
So should the same be said about having children ?
