What's the hardest thing to live without?
    Hope.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Not true, cultures around the world to this day live by barter and trade, nothing monetary involved, check out some of the tribes in PNG or the Amazon.

Having attended a routine appointment with the 'Diabetic' Nurse earlier this week, I discovered that both my sugar & cholesterol levels had risen marginally since my last session 3 months ago. Hence ... there's some suggestion I may *need to start on medication for my diabetes. As yet, no firm decision has been made ... but it's highly likely I *WILL, following consultation with the Specialist next Thursday. And, IF SO ... then it'll mean giving up a lifetime's enjoyment of sweets, chocolate and ice cream !!!

I suppose I must have been the same as Graham with my lovely cigarettes.
But, ever the optimist I always felt I could quit and live without them if I wanted. But not until December 31st 2010 at 10:30pm.
I've turned into an anti-smoking devil now

But I still have the amber nectar, the golden throat charmer that's always on half price offer somewhere.

Would it be so hard to really live without that angel crying on my tongue?.................
    Would I really want to?....................Nah

Sorry to hear about the diabetes Arthur.

I've given up smoking for 2 or 3 years on more than one occasion.

I'm now down to 5 a day, and gradually stopping, so fingers crossed.
