    Agreed.
Whatever anyone will say, it's very stressful.
Even when you know you did everything correctly, you supplied every document needed and more. It's still stressful.
It's really a life changing time and when the application has gone all those self doubts creep into your head.
Good luck and God Bless to all.
    Have faith in your effort.

Yes very. Sleepless nights etc etc. My wife is a bag of nerves with it all.

Anyhow, thanks y'all for the well wishes. Ours went in today.

An unusually large percentage gets approved. I'm sure you're all OK

I'll go along with that Terpe...It's hard work making that application, then sitting it out waiting (nail biting)...Luckily, applications don't take as long as they did, a couple of years ago.
3 months was just too long to wait, with all those nagging doubts.

    Keep smiling

we waited the full 3 months and it made us crazy. All kind of thoughts go through your head. It's really a life impacting time, and we all think what kind of world is this that makes us go through this.
    Just horrible.
The when a positive result is in your hands it's just ..............heaven. The best feeling ever.

I take comfort in that statistic. And I notice that even if the application fails, then one stands a good chance of success during the appeal? (Not that I would wish an appeal on myself or anyone else.)

    I sympathise with that...just awful.
    We applied July 15th & got a result 1st August. (2 1/2 weeks)
Had it been 3 months, we'd only be half way through the wait now.

You seem happy, so all the hardship was worth it....I feel the same.

Over all the years the site has been here, those that came on here and asked for advise and took it all onboard have had a 100% success rate.

Sometimes I don't want to think all the stress & hassles that we all have come through. Different experiences, ups and down stories from the members of this forum...we shared, learned and are even updated with some new rules and happy reading successful stories too.

Before I told myself that it's not easy to get married to a foreigner aside from the adjustment period of getting to know each other stage. At the same time I asked my husband all about it & how he feels & all he said was..."look at us now...it's all worth it"
If you can't say something nice. SHUT UP!. Simple.

I remember being envious of the couples who were together when I first joined the site. Always wondering if me and the wife would ever be able to be just as happy. When you realise how many hoops you have to jump through in order to be together, it is so daunting! Even when you feel confident that you've completed the visa application correctly and can see no reason why the ECO would deny it, you just still can't help worrying! Not a fun time, but as Terpe says, it is the best feeling ever when you realise the application was successful!

I have to admit though, given the 100% success rate here on the forum, I did feel a certain amount of pressure that we'd be letting the side down if the application was unsucessful!

Lol,funny you mention that Dave i felt exactly the same way when we were waiting for the result to come through & didnt help when it seemed like other couples who had applied the same time were rejoicing
However i must say thanks to the board,Scott,Therpe,Win2Win,Tone and all the others who kept me motivated and in the end on 12/08 we got the best news ever

I leave in 5 days time (08/09) for Manila to collect my Mahal and i just wanted to give back all the support and encouragement i got to the rest of the couples who are waiting for their results, remember to keep busy hard i know but you will undoubtedly be reunited with your wives soon

Same from me I echo the sentiments and Guyki you're welcome!
It's brilliant to be with that one person you need next to you in your life and I wish each and everyone good luck in their plight to be with their loved one.

    Hope to see you soon!

My wife is applying this coming week. My nerves have been fried for a while thinking about it.

Lastlid and Toging best wishes with your successful outcome.

Rayna, that day will come soon!

Best wishes to everyone else who is applying or has applied and is waiting that I've missed out!

    Best of luck Steve.
You know how much I look forward to hearing about the best outcome for you both.
Try to remain as calm as you are able, and don't allow negative thoughts to creep into your head.

You don't need one to go out of Manila to the surrounding countryside
