Hi. Its a simple form on the UKBA website. Just needs a signature as I recall. I think it is just an annexe to the the main application form. It is specifically with regard to the English language test. A sort of afterthought by the UKBA. When I get a chance, later, I will add a link or something......

So, old grandmas from Pakistan or Somalia who haven't got a word of English and have lived in a mud hut all their lives will still be able to come here and absorb taxpayers' money.

What nonsense that the Philippines is not on the list of English-speaking countries (where school-children are educated in English), yet a Hispanic from the USA does not have to meet any language requirements.

My British-born son attended school in the Phils for almost 3 years without being required to speak Tagalog, and to this day I know more of that language than he does.

Yep. My wife's 4 year old nephew is being taught in English at his school in Cavite.

Ironic also that my two Filipino step-children have forgotten virtually all of their Tagalog/Bicolano.

Victoria. I (my wife and I) did submit it. But I haven't seen many members, if any, refer to it. But it is an easy form to fill out and sign. So not really a problem.

Maybe Terpe can shed some light on it.....but like I say, so easy to fill out.

Jeez ... at the top of the page it clearly states: "This Form Must Be Completed in English". If that's the case, then it's obviously assumed that non-European applicants already UNDERSTAND English well enough to do so! So WHY then, the NEED for this stupid Test ???

Yes. There are many reasons why I also am annoyed with the language test requirement. Ill thought out from beginning to end. With some thought and effort they could perhaps improve upon the requirement, the eligibility and exemptions and the tests and test providers..........but.....

Victoria. 2 things.

1] Ours was a Spouse Visa. I am not certain that your form and ours are the exactly the same.

2] We (my wife) filled out the online form...accessible through the UKBA website. Then printed it out once completed. I dont recognise the form you mentioned in your last post.

Is CNI available nowadays? We don't have that one... my fiance is 45, never been married before. and we sent a letter to the marriage registry, and they replied that CNI is no longer available since to book a wedding, they need to see an entry clearance first.... is this still mandatory?
