Hi steve,
I got my passport last week 6th Sept.. I went to Phil. Embassy last 27 July 2011 to have it renewed/amended and I received a call last Monday that my passport is ready for pick up.. so the 12 weeks turn around time is the maximum according to the person I spoke with at the Phil. Embassy.
Hope this info helps.

hi there you dont say if you or your wife in uk or phil like in uk you can go to uk passport and get it almost straight away if in uk can you not get it same way at phil embassy london?
yes we both are in the uk, but i am told it could take upto 12 weeks, that is why i posted on here
ok thought that was just phill only uk embassy must be running on phil time too just that my asawa to be is getting hers less than a month as im waking her up at 3 am there time so she can go manila
memories, waking my emma up just to talk to her before she leaves for work
correct that its a new passport at a cost of £43 ?? just for a marriage name change ??
They don't do amendment or name change anymore. Instead the passport needs to be renewed. The Phil. Embassy doesn't process the passports. It will be sent to Manila. The same thing with DFA regional offices in Phils.. they (DFA) accept passport applications but it will be sent to Manila, that why even back home it can take up to 4 weeks to 12 weeks.
