We received a message today, it has taken 2 weeks, saying that our visa application is ready for collection. We opted for courier delivery. So we wont find out the result until the passport and application material arrives at my wifes house in a day or 2. So maybe the same for you...

If the e-mail is from the British Embassy it means your visa is approved and granted.
Should have @fco.gov.uk as the e-mail address ending
If yes, then well done and congratulations to you both

Terpe, as far as I know, my wife has only received email from VFS which has simply stated that the visa application is ready to collect. No communique from the UKBA at all. Unless it has gone into her Junk/Spam folder.....I will check with her.....

Any thoughts on this?

Only UKBA can state the result of any visa application decision.
The information is confidential and UKBA do not inform VFS about decision, only about processes.
VFS cannot state visa approved/granted, because they just don't know.

Just got the result Terpe. its

But we never did get anything from the embassy like others have got recently. No message saying the visa had ben dispatched.

We are over the moon. But for the benefit of others submitting visa applications.....if you dont get a message saying that you have got the visa, it doesnt mean you arent successful.....
