Hi Marie, and welcome from me also.

What is the status of your child's biological father ?

That is an aspect that will need attention.

    Hi mariecatubo welcome here
have you been married to the father of your son? ..if not, you can get parental consent from him(father) if you want to bring your son to the uk with you as dependent.

    your welcome...
but , no its not power of attorney,,,,,..the fathers name appears on birth certificate, so what you need is parental consent from the father of the child , which allows you to bring (your son) to the uk to travel and settle...it needs to be signed by you and him(father) and be notarized by the lawyer...it needs to be included in your visa documents if you plan to take your son to go with you as your dependent and settle in the uk.

That's good news then, but it is still most important that all the legal (permission) documents are signed, as mentioned above.

its the same form you fill in, one for you, one for your son, send them both together and its 2 fees to pay , he's your dependent, so once you get your visa's, basically what happens to you regarding your visa's should also happen to your son.

you need to show you have sole responsibility and sole custody of your son.
