I hope everyone is coping the typhoons.

I've only experienced two bad typhoons in Cebu. Good thing that we don't get much strong typhoons in the visayas region. Though feel sorry for fellow filipinos up north, they are the ones who get the strong and nasty typhoons every year.

Hawk don't take this the wrong way but to me the pic doesn't ring true - looks a bit like a still from a disaster movie

Hawk, thanks for the photo update. I'm sorry if you felt offended by my likening of your original pic to a disaster movie, I repeat no offence meant, looking at it again I guess with the big wave of water it was taken Manila Bay way or similar with a sea wall.

Tropical storms come with the territory in the Philippines, the recent one pales into insignificance compared with Ondoy in 2009 when 500 people perished. Regrettable that any loss of life is I think some perspective is required here.
