    Any advice please

    Hi everyone

Here I am again. . I was really stress out with the embassy . I went to Manila last October 26 , 2011 to process the british passport of our baby. It took me so long before I went to Manila because I waited for the original passport of my husband. He sent it by courier and it took more than a week before I received it.So when I went to the embassy, they will not going to let me go inside because I dont have an appointment . Im not really aware that there is already an appointment needed because before they didn't require it. I was really disappointed. So when I email the embassy, the only response I got was the earliest date they can see me personally is on October 7, 2011. So I email them back tellign them to get that date for my appointment and ask for the time and confirmation of my appointment. Just want to make sure if they already list me in their booking time, but they didn't reply anymore. So I dont know if that email that they sent to me is the confirmation of my appointment already? I keep on calling them for the confirmation but only recording message is answering the phone saying "she cant come on the phone, just leave name and mobile phone for her to call back" and I did but until now, they didnt call on my mobile phone. Im from Mindanao and it cost a fortune to travel back again to Manila and until now, I didnt hear from the embassy for the confirmation of my appointment request.. Im worried that they will not let me go inside the embassy again because they might not list me on the said date that she mentioned in her email ...Any advice please..

If I could process the passport of our baby on October 7, it will take 4-6 weeks. .But My husband want to book my flight already on the 7th day of November as he dont want to let me runned out of my 3 months allowance which will end on December 6. I hate to go without bringing our baby.. But my husband told me while waiting for the British passport of our baby, I will travel first to UK, then after Xmas He will be going to travel here in Philippines to collect our baby . Is it ok that my husband will be the one to bring our baby going to UK ? I am hoping to hear your advice ..Thank u

Which email did you use to book the appointment, was it Manila.ConsAppointment@fco.gov.uk ?

I do not think there would be a problem if your husband travels with your baby as they will be traveling on British passports.

Another option is when you are at the embassy to apply for the passport, explain the situation regarding the validity of your visa and ask if they can change your dates of your visa.

Hi rusty, thank you for the message..yes thats the email address . When I email to them, she replied that the appointment was already booked until this end of September so the earliest date she can see me personally is on October 7. When I reply to her email telling her to get that appointment date, no response already, so I don't know if she booked me on the said date as I didn't hear anymore for the confirmation of my appointment request. Do I need to print that email just in case they wont let me go inside the embassy ?

I hope they will consider our situation and change the validity date of my visa ..

I would take any documentation that shows you have an appointment on that date and time. Really poor that they never replied to you. Good luck, I will be doing the same over the Christmas holidays.
