    visa for Republic of Ireland

Hello, everyone! I need a help regarding a visa if I need one to travel in Dublin, Ireland. We plan to see my husband's relatives soon. I have Schengen Visa but just now, I looked at the list of Schengen visa member countries, Republic of Ireland is not in the list.

    Thank you very much.

As there is no border control between Northern Ireland and Ireland, is there any regulations to say that if you were to fly into Northern Ireland then drive into southern Ireland??

There's plenty of scumbag illegals use that route in reverse to get into the UK - lax checks on vehicles coming into Eire from France/Spain, bus up to the North then ferry to Scotland

Hello, everyone! I'm back for another question. Hope anyone here can help us understand about schengen visa. I've got a multiple French schengen visa valid until 19th Jan. 2012. We've been to Paris for 5 days last Sept. We're back now in London and we plan to travel again but this time in Germany for a Christmas market , the same length of time, 5days. Can I use that visa for that travel? My husband thought that we have to enter France again on our journey to Germany or I need another visa issued by German embassy. Which one is right? Please help us, thank you very much.

A very, very grey area, and one I've been asking the answer to on many occasions. We've been in the same situation.

Your husband is correct.... officially, whatever country issued the Schengen visa, then that is the initial country of entry into the Schengen zone.

Do they enforce it ? ..... I guess it depends on the Immigration entry officer that inspects your passport, and also convincing the airline to let you travel on it.

Is it worth getting turned back, and ruining your holiday ?

(We didn't chance it, and re-applied for another Schengen visa)
