    prohibited ?

    Time for update ,

    prohibited ?

Hello All, I wonder if anyone can help with this Question, I am Disabled and no longer able to work, which means I have to claim benefits.
Does this prohibit any chance of obtaining an visa for my Fiancee ?

    Thanks in advance.

I did follow all the advice and took guidance from the forum.
We did marry, and then apply for spouse visa.
    It was refused.
Main reason was, the ECO didn't feel we had a proper relationship.
But he did also add she would be a financial burden.

I'm happy to give more details, should anybody wish to know.

Anyway, I decided to appeal, sent off to british firm that specialise
in immigration, after reading thro all the paperwork in our case
The Solicitor siad he was very suprised it was refused.
He said he had a very strong case, and was very confident he would win it.
so the appeal was made on July the 8th, few weeks later we got a date for the hearing, would be held Dec 5th.
Then on Sept 23rd received e mail, saying decision to refuse , had been overturned. Please send passport to embassy.

And yesterday e mail saying Your visa will be despatched shortly.
It's been a rather difficult journey, But success is now close at hand
Without the help and guidance of the members of this fine forum
it would not have been possible.
A very heartfelt thank you, to all, from my good lady wife, Maryjane
    and myself

All systems go, now, eh? Especially the Central Heating System ... when you get back from the Phils!

Meanwhile, have a safe trip ... and make the most of the balmy SE Asian climatic conditions while you're there.

I remember the end of last November, sitting on the plane watching
the snow blizzard they had to de-ice the aircraft 3 times, before we could take off.
Two days later in phils, i saw the news about all our airports being closed down, due to the weather.

I like the phils climate, never ever been cold there.
My ladywife, say's she wants to see snow, but i suspect the heating system will get a good run, when we return.

Hi congrats on your wifes visa , how did it go in the hearing as I have my wifes hearing on the 1st November and just wondering on how it all goes in the actual hearing is there someone there to fight against ur case or is it just the judge who decides on what u put in front of him

    Hi alan/maleiya
we didn't feel would get a fair shake if we made the appeal ourselves, so I found a Solicitor that specializes in immigration matters.
I would have attended the hearing, but a barrister would have presented our case.
Our case was set to be heard on 5th Dec, but on on Sept 23rd , an e mail informed me, that the decision to refuse , had been overturned.
So we never made it to the hearing.
From what I understand it's an immigration Judge that decides the outcome.

We wish you both all the very best with your upcoming appeal hearing.

congratulations toneec, very wel done and best wishes to you and your wife for a happy life together.
i remember travelling to minila from london on 30 nov last year, my check in time at the city airport was at 6am and there just happened to be a one day underground strike on the tube trains on that perticular day
After three glorious weeks of fabulous weather and marrying my wonderful wife it was time to the good old english snow and ice
at the check in desk in minila KLM informed me that the aircraft was delayed by two hours due the weather in europe so my connecting flight from skiphol airport to london will not be available and i would have to endure a 10 hour wait for the next available flight that they booked me onto which would depart at 6am but when i arrived in holland i was informed that all the london airports were shut because of the snow and ice so after spending the night in the airport without sleep due to the fact that the airport hotels were full, after queuing for two hours the next morning i was booked onto a flight that would be leaving within half hour for Birmingham and after the de icing we were off and flying through thick cloud and evryone clapped when the plane landed safely, i was told that i would have to leave my luggage because it was still on the plane that arrived from minila and was informed to go to lostluggage on arriving in Birmingham and report it as missing which i did and they told me that it could take a couple of weeks before it was delivered to my address..so it was now 23rd Dec when i eventually arrived home but it was the best xmas that i had ever had when on xmas i recieved a phone call from a guy from the airport to inform me that my luggage was here if i would like to come downstairs and collect it
It was so nice to open my luggage and hold our wedding album and all the other mementos that i will cherish for the rest of my life :Hellooo
