Anyone used Shazam?

My music knowledge is pretty good but now and again Shazam really helps
Was watching sky comedy Mount Pleasent and they often have a tune at the end and for the life of me could not think who it was,so used Shazam and 10 secs later got the artist and song-brill app

how does that work, if you dont know the artist or song title ?

It just listens and in seconds identify s the song you need know nothing

Strange ..... I tested it on the cat I was strangling and the app kept coming back with Maria Carey
