Well im sure if it is a genuine relationship & that you both love each other she would wait until you can make it to the phils or failing that why not apply for a fiancee visa & marry her in the uk

If you have the money ASAP as my attitude is sooner the better when my wife lived there all i wanted was to be in the phils with her i couldnt stand to be here in the uk knowing we was missing each other so much.

Great time to go if you can afford the flight as flights will cost almost double that time of the year if you intended to go there in december for your gf bday you should really of booked well in advance to get a reasonable price for that time of the year..... But if you can afford it then i wish you luck with your trip & your first meeting with your gf

The general advice on here is to never ever send money to a stranger you haven't met and checked out thoroughly. Your girl may be genuine and I hope for your sake that she is, but there are many Filipina's who cast the net very wide praying on lovestruck Puti's pretending that they love them and asking them to send them money. You won't be the first person on here to get stung, nor the last...just be very careful, and get your backside over there ASAP so that you can check her out

There are lots of ways you can get to the Phil's, either direct into Manila or via HK or Sing or KL if you fancy a few nights stopover. Sometimes it works out cheaper to go indirect and have a few nights in another City - I frequently do this, and one of the other benefits is it's only a few hours flight to Manila so you arrive fairly fresh and have had a chance to sleep off some of your jet lag.
If you're looking to go from London, you have a far wider choice of airlines to Manila, HK or Sing, but from regional airports you will be limited to KLM, Lufthansa, Emirates and poss Ethihad and Sing from Manchester.
The Christmas period is the most expensive and flights for late Dec are in the high hundreds even thousands now as it's lat for booking. If you can go before about Dec 15th and return after about Jan 10th you should be able to get a decent flight for around £500 - £600 if you shop around. The cheapest I've got a Manila flight for was £397 with Saudi, but they are a crap airline and changed my schedule numerous times before I eventually got pee'd off and cancelled.
My advice is to subscribe to cheapflights.co.uk daily newsletter and input your preferred departure airport and region you wish to travel to. They will send you regular e-mails telling you what the cheapest fares are for the next 3 months. KLM regularly come out in the late 400's
Also Lufthansa currently have a sale on, you can get out to Sing or HK for around £430 if you're careful with your dates. From SG or HG you can pick up a Cebu Pacific connection to Manila for around £70 return, maybe even less at present as they have a 12Peso sale on now, many destinations are 12 peso's each way plus tax and fees, again dates may be restrictive.
well i was married back in 1987 there in phili and the rules have changed a lot since then so i need current up to date imformation
