I'm just about to book my 2nd trip to philippines and thinking of going with cathay pacific
I was wondering if it worth joining their marco polo club, as a new member and my first flight with them would I get benefits (apart from the airlines) being a member this flight.
Well first of all it's well worth being an 'Asia Miles' member and claiming the airmiles, although coming from the UK I'd even more recommend going with British Airways Executive Club and claiming the Cathay miles through that (will actually write up a thread about why soon).
The Marco Polo club for 25$ (I think?), gives you some personalised baggage tags, access to the business class checkin (which can be useful at Heathrow) and priority boarding. The priority boarding serves only one purpose, and that is if you have a maximum sized hand baggage and want to be sure you'll have overhead locker space to place it.
