KUALA LUMPUR - A Malaysian court sentenced a Japanese woman to death on Tuesday for smuggling methamphetamine into the country in what an official said was the first such case involving a citizen of Japan.

She says that she was 'duped' into carrying the drugs. In a lot of articles and tv programmes the convicted seem to say they were duped, especially women. Do you really think that there are so many naive people out there that get duped, or are these people at such a low point that they can easily be convinced to carry the drugs or is it just an excuse?
Initially I guess they think it's a good earner but they all turn to being "duped" when nabbed by the customs and they realise they're up sh1t creek. No excuses
