Yes, the VKD adverts are really funny.
In a way they remind me of the old Grunhalle Lager ones of years ago.
The best song ever, for me, and it takes some beating is definitively...
"Nothing Compares" by Sinead O'Connor.

The bravest thing that men do is love women--Mort Sahl
Kuku, there's one person I know that can translate this song for you...Peanutz But she's busy at the moment, studying...settling...all wifey stuff. Haven't heard from her for a while. But some girls might try to help you once they saw your post. Am I right in thinking you can relate to this song? In love, there is no measurement device to prove that it's right or wrong. Age doesn't matter. So, keep loving, girl! Stay inlove.
A winning horse doesn't know why it runs in a race.
It runs because of the hits of pain.
Life is a race. God is your rider.
So if you're in pain,
then think God wants you to win
I like that song as well, itsme_iye. But there's a new one that I've just added to my lists...In the Air tonight by Phil Collins http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TApA1fyoSdk

Ha ha ha yikes nga yung first two lines wearing wigs and dentures soaking in a glass of water Pero cute din ng kantang to. Ngayon ko nga lang narinig to. Tagal ko na kasing wala sa Pinas eh. I dont even know if the singer is famous or just an ordinary lady with extra ordinary talent posted their composition in youtube. How do you want to translate the song? With rhymes according to the song? Or just translate it in english as it was written? The 'po' is hard though

This is my favorite one, my Dad`s lullaby song,he used to sing this for me when I was small child. The background of this MTV is in Baguio City.
Enjoy the Ilocano Song...!
The Pretender by Jackson Browne & Still Crazy After All These Years by Paul Simon to name just 2. I love wordsmith singer songwriters.... People who can write and sing a song that just flows without having to rhyme, who can make 15 words fit into 1 line and just 3 or 4 in the next line and it when you hear it you know it has to be that way..... It just couldn't be any other way. A song has to be about something, otherwise it's just MUSAK.

I used to always hear freddie Aguilar songs in the background at home and never really paid much attention until I heard ANAK. I asked Ligaya to explain the lyrics and just liked the song. I travel all over Asia with work and stay generally in hotels where the house band/singer are Filipino/Filipina and I always request it, they love a foreigner requesting suh a song as they always seem a little bored covering western classics. I usually end up chatting to thema about where they are from etc and even met a school mate(two years ahead of Ligaya) in Beijing Shangri-la. Now when I am away I ask for it and reminds of my mahal so much I just love the song. I think I have heard it from Dubai to Jakarta and Singapore to Seoul.
