I did not see his interview but I reckon he may be right on this one. People have always called each other names, even more so when being competitive, its just human nature. When my boys were playing rugby they were often called chinky b
s etc, just made them play better as they knew they were getting at their opponents, plus their team mates backed them up.
No permanent harm done, some people are just ignorant. The way of the world.
Just watched the thriller in Manila fight again and in the run up Ali was calling smoking Joe an Uncle Tom, a really bad insult apparently.

This is why our VHS has, or had lasted so long. Like many my era, I was too tight to replace the tapes with the latest format
